Hi, I'm Oakster™, the spokes-leaf for Leaf Critters® LLC.
Leaf Critters® promote the existence of leaves, their
sources and what we can learn from them. The more we learn about our
foliage-friends, the more we are able to promote their existence.
Leaf Critters® are here to inspire an environmental
response to the global interconnectedness humankind shares with
all living things.

Our Mission
Leaf Critters, LLC is an eco-educational and recreational company
that exists to tell about leaves, their sources, and what we can
learn from them. The products we offer all help to inspire a renewal
of the earth and its inhabitants.
Curriculum
The Leaf Critters®
curriculum uses five different Leaf Critters characters each year to
teach about plant growth, soil, and pollination. Geography,
botany, visual arts, and oral presentation are incorporated into the
lessons.
Students are encouraged to interact
with nature and to go “See the Tree” that the Leaf Critter calls
home. By encouraging students to discover trees, they are being
directed to the outdoors. This gets them involved with 3D nature
rather than being inside with 2D images. This plays directly into
the “No Child Left Inside” legislation. In addition, many of
the Science and Visual Arts standards are fulfilled in line with the
No Child Left Behind requirements. Standard Course of Study
objectives are met with this curriculum. |
